Hi Klaviyo Community,

I'm the founder of a digital marketing agency that has traditionally focused on paid media and creative services. We're now expanding to include a retention practice and are planning to use Klaviyo for our clients.

I have a question about getting access to client accounts. I’ve reviewed the documentation and understand that access can be granted via shared logins or by adding individual team members to the client's account. However, this process seems cumbersome, especially when team changes occur.

In the paid search realm, platforms like Google and Meta provide agency logins, where the agency manages access for its team without involving the client each time a change is needed. Shopify Partners operates similarly.

Does Klaviyo offer a similar agency management tool that allows an agency to manage team access to client accounts without needing the client's intervention for every user addition or removal? If not, how do other agencies efficiently handle this?

Thanks in advance!

Hey @bogdanch

From my latest knowledge - Klaviyo does not have a dedicated agency management tool akin to Google’s or Meta’s agency logins that allow for streamlined access management across multiple client accounts.

A work around that I would suggest - Create a single email address for your agency (e.g., klaviyo@youragency.com) and have clients add this email as a user on their Klaviyo accounts. Your team can then access this email address and log in to manage accounts. This method simplifies access but requires careful management of the email account and shared credentials.

If you dont like the idea above, then I guess, shared login and adding team members is the only way to go, however i would suggest you ask this question to Klaviyo support representative for latest info if there are any changes.

I hope this helps

Cheers

We have been using a single shared login, however it’s less ideal from a security and privacy perspective. I guess we’ll need to create a distinct email for each project and share access that way. Ex: project_name@agency.com; project_name2@agency.com etc

this way only people actually working on a specific project will have access…

Hi @bogdanch,

Adding my 2 cents in here from the agency side.

I would love to have a single management solution as right now we have to add new staff manually to 50+ accounts.

I don’t recommend having a single shared login - Klaviyo does not support being signed into multiple Klaviyo accounts at the same time, so this would be a nightmare if someone else signs in as you can no longer save your work.

Also from an audit perspective in case anything ever pops up, I like to make sure we know who’s done what. So I highly recommend using individual logins in Klaviyo.

Hope that helps!

Thanks
David
