We’ve just started sending an email to two new lists, and the most recent one showed one person opening the email 939 times. That seemed pretty wacky, so I looked at a couple other emails that we’d recently sent.
Another email showed one person opening 154 times.
These numbers seem really unlikely - especially the 939 opens from one person.
Is that REALLY correct, or is there something that could be causing that to happen?
Thanks!

Hi @ola,
Thanks for sharing your question with the Klaviyo Community.
If someone forwards a Klaviyo email to their own group of contacts and those individuals open the email, the opens would be attributed to the original Klaviyo profile the email was sent to. This is typically the cause of having one profile having several open email events beyond the “normal” range. We use unique opens in our open rate calculation to ensure this doesn’t impact the core Klaviyo metrics calculations as well.
