Strategist - Paid Social
This is a full-time role.
This is an advertising/marketing strategist role - for those with experience specifically in paid advertising (Facebook, Instagram, Google, etc).
Note: This is not open to agencies, freelancer collectives, or recruiters. Only those with an interest in a full-time career at Ragnarok may apply.
As a full-service agency, Ragnarok bridges the gap between creative and technology. We specialize in cross-channel content strategy, creation + distribution (email, push, SMS, web, video, social, and more), as well as web development + implementation. To help us handle our increasing workload, we are looking to bring on an Advertising Strategist. Is that you? Read on!
Our clients include brands like Allbirds, YETI, Drizly, NerdWallet, and Affirm.
The ideal candidate is someone who has a strong background in paid social media management, a strong background in paid display and search ad management, and is looking to grow their experience in managing and optimizing large paid strategy budgets in a fast-paced, but fun work environment.
Examples of daily projects include:
- Analyzing and optimizing current ad campaigns based on goals defined by the client
- Identifying opportunities for successful paid ad campaigns across digital media platforms
- Outlining and presenting data-based results from paid ad campaigns
- Outlining, setting up, and launching paid ad campaigns designed to test the effectiveness of specific variables on campaign goals
- Daily monitoring, optimization, and reporting on paid ad campaigns
- Ensure that all pixels and conversion tactics are set up accurately and are tracking correctly
- Manage day-to-day pacing documents to track campaign performance
- Identify KPIs and outline budget allocations based on priorities of the client and best practices
- Manage large paid media budgets with an eye towards optimization and in a fast-paced ad strategy environment
You:
- Have a strong background (6-8 years) in paid advertising on Facebook and Instagram, as well as an understanding of other social media platforms
- Have a strong background (6-8 years) in paid advertising on Google Search and Google Display, as well as an understanding of other social media platforms
- Have experience working with a fast-paced and large budget and how to manage and optimize campaigns within the budget
- Use an analytical and strategic mindset, you will be able to understand campaign results and report on them with recommendations for optimizations
- Have a strong data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret data and present findings to clients in presentations and meetings
- Are comfortable looking at data and drawing conclusions and recommendations for next steps with little oversight
- Are comfortable answering questions related to paid digital campaigns and their performance based on the data
- Can work collaboratively across multiple teams
- High level of accuracy and hawk-like attention to detail
- Are self-motivated and proactive at finding and recommending solutions, but able to work well with a team
- Are a strong verbal and written communicator, and are comfortable relaying technical information (internally and externally)
- Have a 4-year college degree
- Want to expand your skillset and build your portfolio
- If based in the NYC area and stay with the team, are comfortable working remotely as well as in-office (when we can safely return!), sometimes with dogs
Bonus Points:
- Experience with integrating Facebook pixels or tools
- Experience with integrating paid strategies into a holistic marketing plan (landing pages, email marketing, etc.)
