Hi,

Is there any way, for preview emails, to not have the links transformed into impenetrable trk.click URLs?

We check all links for all campaigns before we send them. Right now, we have to click on every email to check that it goes to the right product, etc. If we could see the normal link in test emails we’d know just by looking at it that it was correct.

If this isn’t an option somewhere, could this be a feature request please?

Many thanks,

G

Hi @dartacus

Not to my knowledge.

I understand what you’re saying, but it is possible to preview the destination URL from the email pre-send preview. The post-send preview (in your inbox) does have Klaviyo tracking URLs. However, I think it’s always a good idea to test those links with a click anyway, as a visual test would be error-prone.

Just my thoughts and approach!

Regards

Andy

@bluesnapper thanks. Yes a full click-through is best but this feature would make it easier to spot errors *without* having to do that, in particular our customer service people know the site very well, are really eagle-eyed, and would spot malformed URLs very easily (they used to just hover their mouse over links in preview emails).

Not every staff member has, or needs, a Klaviyo account so couldn’t see a preview, although I suppose we could share the preview link with them. An actual email is much better, though, lets us test dark mode, different email clients etc too.

(Although that does raise another thing I’ve been meaning to ask for here - ‘dark mode’ previews in the campaigns editor).
