Hi,

We have a pop-up sign up form and I’d like track the form details and confirmation page by establishing gtm and sending to ga4.

I’ve tried many ways however it’s not fired at all.. I’ve used Element Visibility in trigger. I am sharing the screenshots below. I’ve taken the thank you text “teşekkür ederiz” in Turkish and then the blocks in the box. None of them did work. I’ve copied the selector.

I’ve even tried selecting the confirmation image since it’s changing when you submit to Subscribe button. Subscribe button doesn’t work either. And in gtm form submit doesn’t show up..

I am sharing our Turkish website link for you convenience since there is a redirection for outside of Turkey.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Best,

Hi @enes, I think in order to track this you need to do something different rather than looking for CSS elements. From what I know Klaviyo also sends events that you should be able to capture and use to send additional triggers to GTM.

If you check this article you might find what you're looking for: https://www.analyticsmania.com/post/track-klaviyo-forms-with-google-tag-manager/

I would also suggest checking with a developer or checking the events getting fired from all tools on your site. Adding a browser plugin like WASP might help with this. In the end you want to capture those events and use them to fire of your own events to GA4.

Also please check this Klaviyo documentation: https://help.klaviyo.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005077027

Good luck, I hope this helps!

Hi @Omar,

Thank you for your answer.

I don’t get what you stated above exactly. Could you please give me more details?

That said, I’d already looked over Analytics mania’s article. Normally, i think this article for UA. However, Julius has attached a recipe for GA4 in the link you shared. You can refer to it below. But I don’t understand that article thoroughly. He says

https://www.analyticsmania.com/google-tag-manager-recipes/klaviyo-forms/

I don’t what to do exactly and how to create this custom dimension both in GTM and GA4. When I initiate preview and check it in GTM sign-up pop up form doesn’t appear at all! I don’t know why but anything related show up until I click on the form. Could you please help me out in regards? I’m quite confused how should I proceed for the next step..

Furthermore, I had the WASP plug-in. I am sharing a screenshot on our homepage what comes up when I open it. I am not sure if I look up on the right place. You might tell me where should I look at exactly in order to understand.

Looking forward to your help and support. That’d be great if we could handle this issue together.

Hi @enes, You can practically download the recipe and import it in GTM.

I'm not a developer but I do understand what's happening, in short he created a script that's looking for the Klaviyo popup to launch and registers the event in Tag manager so you can then use this event to send data to the appropriate places (GA4/Google Ads etc).

I would suggest you to import that recipe in GTM and follow the instructions.

You can maybe reach out to Julius for additional information or maybe scout a GTM specialist to help you with implementation.

You're on the right path!
