Clarification on profiles added via Facebook/Meta lead generation ads

Hi,

It’s my understanding from the documentation and other posts on this forum that profiles we get via Meta lead generation ads do not receive the standard double opt-in email that normal subscribers receive, but they just get added to the list that is specified in the Meta integration.

We are running a paid lead generation campaign currently on Meta. I can see the emails from people who have filled out the lead ad appearing in the profiles list. However only a fraction of them are showing as subscribed. Most show as ‘Never subscribed’ and the only event in their activity log is ‘filled out lead generation ad’.

Why would profiles added via this integration not be added as subscribers?

Since we are paying for this, it needs to generate viable leads. Just having profiles being added but not being able to contact them isn’t a good use of budget.

Also, if anyone knows of a report I can run to see a list of profiles with their source and their subscription status, that would be very helpful in diagnosing this issue.

Thanks for that reply. Everything is set up correctly but it’s very odd that profiles added from Meta are not being added to the list that I specified in the integration, and also that not all of them are showing as having subscribed when the action in the integration is set to ‘Subscribe to Email’.

You can try Reconnect Meta Lead Ads and reselect the correct lead form. And If your form don’t have consent checkbox then Edit the form and add a custom checkbox for email marketing consent.

Or you can download lead in CSV file and export them in klaviyo list with subscribe consent.
