When you say that one sides disrupts from the other do you mean that the display changes too drastically, for instance, the blocks stacking vertically on mobile and not on desktop?  Mobile optimization, which stacks blocks on top of each other, is considered best practice because mobile devices aren’t as wide as desktops as mobile device and side by side blocks don’t look as good on mobile. However, you can turn off the mobile optimization feature in your block’s style settings.
