With Google and Yahoo's email sender requirements coming up, I would like to set up and use Google’s Postmaster Tools: https://postmaster.google.com/managedomains

When setting this up, I’m confused which domain to enter for this question: “What domain do you use to authenticate your email?”

Should I use “www.mywebsite.com” or should it be my sending domain (that can be found in Klaviyo) “send.mywebsite.com”?

Hey @Dan N,

Great question!

When setting up Google’s postmaster tool, you’ll want to use your root domain when it asks “What domain do you use to authenticate your email?”

In other words, you’ll want to use “www.mywebsite.com”

Thanks for being a part of the Klaviyo Community!

Hi all, I have a related question, when I try setting up my root domain in Google’s Postmaster Tool I get the following error: “There was a problem while adding the domain. Please try again.”

I tried multiple times and seem to get this error all the time, would you know how I can resolve this?

Thank you so much.
