Best approach for multiple languages

I’d like to express my gratitude for this in depth reply and for listing all the pros and cons. I thought about which option would be better for me but haven’t come to a decision yet. But at least thanks to your reply I won’t run into surprises once I do choose one. Thanks again for taking the time to reply I will also make sure to check out the linked post!

Hi @In the Inbox thanks for your reply! I’m still missing something.For the URL for the button in my email {% update_property_link 'emailpreference' 'all' 'redirect_link' %} I dont know what link to use for the ‘redirect_link’ partIf I would just want to redirect them back to my webpage after choosing their email preference I would just use “https://raysandriches.com/” but if I want to send them to the landing page that I created in Klaviyo? How/where do I find that landing pages’ URL? Thanks for your help!

@In the Inbox I do have a question about the redirect URL for after they clicked the button.I’ve created a landing page using Klaviyos sign up forms. For europeans it will also have an option to opt in/ opt out of targeted online ads, for all others I just want to show them a thank you / success notification, so that people know their choice has been registered. But I’m a bit lost on how to send people to that sign up form… What do I choose for the redirect URL of the button of my email?  many thanks!

Welcome flow

For the discount - You could add in another AND condition that is filtering a property to each conditional split. I’d recommend you create a new custom property that is filled in when they opt-in, kind of like this in the button settings. And that hidden field is applied to all forms where it’d make sense to treat those opt-ins all the same (i.e your landing page & main pop-up having this hidden field) -   Ok just to re-cap and double-check wether I understood correctly;So you’re saying I could add the same hidden field property to my 20% pop-up and my IG landing page (since I want people who signed up through either of them to be treated the same). And then add that hidden property as an additional condition to my first conditional split (using “AND”) .Yes?What would yo recommend I use for that hidden property? One from klaviyos pre-made properties like $id or would you create a new one?  For the final path to catch all ‘others’ it would be enough to add emails below the “no” pa

How Do I prevent same email from reaching a customer from a different flow?

Hi @Taylor Tarpley , I have the same questionsIn my case, I created a template from the email in my welcome flow. It is a brand story/educational email.When I create an email in my post purchase flow, there is the option to add a filter to the email itself. *Has not received this email* (*skip anyone who has received this message* *at any time*). What are the requirements for klaviyo to recognize that the email I|m creating in my post purchase flow is the same as in the welcome flow? If I use the conditional split instead, what settings would I have to choose? *what soemone has done (or not done)* *person has recieved email*…again what email is meant by *recieved* email? THIS exact email? Email filter  Conditional splitI would love to know what OP decided to do in the end?Thanks in advance

Hi @David To  So far I tested it by adding the link in my email template (in the button) and then clicking on preview and test and trying whether the button works and also send the email to one of my email adresses and tried clicking the button there.By manually building, do you mean typing the URL into the web-browser bar? Because yes, when I do that I still get an error message, actually 400 “bad request” instead of 404

I’m going to read through the linked posts.Are there any differences /advantages/disadvantages  between using $source, $consent_form_id $consent_form_version etc when choosing which one to use to use in my sign up forms hidden field and again as  filter for my flow?Best, Manuela

Hi @David To yes, I did update that part as well. I still get the same error. HI @David To I’m having the same issue as people above. I pasted this into the URL field for my button mysite.com/discount/{% coupon_code 'your_code' %}?redirect=/new-pathand manually replaced “mysite” with my sites name and “your_code” with the coupon codes’ name.It’s an welcome email flow and the coupon code is a dynamic code with an expiration date, generated on Klaviyo-not uploaded. The error message i get when previewing and clicking on the link is “sorry, that page isnt actually there”when I send that email to one of my email adresses, I can either not even click the link or it shows 404 page not foundI’ve also been trying with literally every other link in any of the related klaviyo articles...For example with this one mysite.com/discount/{% coupon_code 'CouponName' %}I do end up on my webpage but the code is not applied at checkout…..  The button and link does however work with static coupon codes….(generated on shopify)Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?

Flow filter based on $source

HI David! thanks a lot for your reply. I went ahead to add a filter based on $source. But when I go to my flow and want to add the ‘source equals value’ filter to the trigger, the drop down menu for value doesn’t show anything... Do I just manually type in what I see in the forms hidden field for ‘value’ (that long as “Browsed Fewer Than 3 Times and Never Purchased (20% off) NON-EU” ) ? Can I shorten it?  I don’t have anyone in my list yet so I can’t check if what I’m doing would work and want to make sure everything is set up correctly before putting it live.  thanks in advance for your reply best. Learning about conditional splits

Hi again, thank you so much for checking my flow! Yes, exactly,  the condition in the conditional split is “Is NOT”.Also thank you for pointing out the thing with the time delay. I did not take this into consideration and will update it now as I don’t want people to receive it IMMEDIATELY.Thank you also for explaining my question regarding the “no” vs “yes” path. I got it now. Thanks for all your help.
