Issue with klaviyo plugin update

Setting is there, its the fault of the Klaviyo update. It currently says that “Your Klaviyo plugin for WooCommerce is out of date” Even though, it's the latest version.

Abandoned Cart Flows for Customers Using a Different Email From Their Profile

I definitely agree with @CF-TEAM. This is a major issue, people switch between emails a lot. A few cases i noticed in the very short time period, that we have had it active:Changing from a company email to personal Changing from husband to “possibly” a wife account or someone else in the household Misspelling the email address, which happens quite oftenIt would separate klaviyo from the competition to offer some type of IP tracking or cookie utilization. For example if any order is placed under a certain “cookie” or “ip”, that the abandoned cart flow of every related profile is skipped.

Issue with abandoned flow and placed order detection

Update: I figured out the issue and found it happening on 3 separate occasions today. This relates to the person starting the checkout, but placing the order to a different email or as a different person's name. Is there a way to detect that? If the cookie detects any placed order, it should prevent every linked account to that browser cookie in that session to receive an abandoned cart.

Issue triggering placed order event to klaviyo in some instances

Hey @HPB  Great question, thank you for reaching out about this on the Klaviyo Community! When it comes to the placed order metric, it is handled by the server-side API, while the checkout started event is handled by the Client-Side API and since they process a bit differently, it can sometimes causes a delay for the placed order metric. How often integrations sync, shows that your integration with Woocommerce should happen in real time, but there are occasional delays that can take up to 15 minutes for the event to be created in Klaviyo. As you have created the Abandon Cart Flow, if a customer enters this flow, they will stay in waiting for 4 hours before an email is sent. If they placed an order, the even metric should update before the Abandon Cart Email is sent to them, so you should not have to worry about your customers receiving emails that are not applicable to them.    So although there may be a delay from time to time, your Klaviyo event metrics should update with the correc

Hi @HPB - With a bit of tweaking, you can get text to look as good as the example you referenced. You can also use Custom Fonts that will works with modern email clients as well. Although many brands, especially in Beauty and Fashion, tend to go with large graphics as their email content, there are many good technical and practical reasons for using text. Some of these benefits include: Text is can be mobile responsive, and more legible depending on the screen size.  Text sometimes can help prevent emails from going to spam folders because inbox providers can correctly decipher what is in the message. Text is inherently smaller in file size, so they load quickly (almost immediately).  It’s often easy to forget that many parts of the country (and world) still don’t have consistent access to broadband - especially in remote regions or on weaker cellular coverage. Exclude welcome flow to people who signed through checkout (woocoomerce)

Hi @HPB,   Yup, I did notice that! The solution I proposed is stating that there was never a placed order associated with the account, whereas the solution you initially set up was only looking at no placed order within a recent window of time.   The logic you set does seen sound, however, I’d recommend looking at the “recorded at” timestamps of the “placed order” event compared to the “subscribed to list” event. You can find the recorded at time by clicking on the timestamp next to the event in the profile timeline. This recorded at timestamp is the date/time that these events were registered with Klaviyo. Whereas the “timestamped at” timestamp is when the event was recorded in WooCommerce. If there was any delay in syncing this information to Klaviyo, you would see a discrepancy between recorded at times for these events.   As for filtering by source, yes, you can do this! Exclude welcome flow to people who signed through checkout (woocoomerce)

Hi @HPB,   Thanks for reaching out to the community!   If the objective is to only ever trigger the welcome flow for non purchasers, you can add the flow filter of “What someone has done - Placed order equals zero over all time.” This condition will evaluate to see if there is an order associated prior to or while a user is going through the flow. If there is an order placed at any point, the customer will get kicked out of the flow.    If you’re testing flow logic, feel free to adjust this flow filter and then set the flow to manual status. This way you can validate the logic of the flow without the risk of sending a live email. Once you’ve completed the testing, feel free to turn the flow live.    Have a nice weekend! Newsletter list growth issue?

Thanks for the reply! This gives us quite a disadvantage compares to our competitors. Are we able to have the “subscribe to newsletter” at checkout pre-market? All our competitors have it pre-market and i suspect it making a large difference for them. Example:   Thanks :-)
