Appending email address in the URL,GDPR & Data Security

Hi there :) I hope someone can help! I need to send information about the customer email in the URL - This has initially been asked and answered in this earlier post here. However, this provides issues with GDPR and Data Security. Currently the customer information is directly accessible in the URL when using this method:email={{ email }} email=Name.LastName%40email.comTherefore I need to figure out, if I can hash the information in the URL. Fingers crossed that someone has the answer to this! Thanks,Mathilde

Using personalization tags within event variables - is it possible?

I have a metric-triggered flow in which the subject lines are dynamically populated via event variables. So the subject lines are set up as `{{event.subject_line}}`. When I post an event that has something like `subject_line: “Hey, {{first_name}}”` in the event payload, the subject line in the sent email looks exactly like that - it says “Hey, {{first_name}}”, without populating that name. Is there any way to make this work as desired (i.e. the first name set in the profile would actually be inserted)?

Splitting Event Data for Button Links

I have some event data that pulls in a link, l `https://molove.com/{custom_link_here}`. Is there a clever way to split this data as I want to add /de to my link in some instances, i.e. `https://molove.com/de/{custom_link_here}.I tried the following django but it always results in an error. What am I missing here?  1: Replace the Base Url with the one containing de2: Split the URL and add in dehttps://molove.com/de/{{ event.custom_link|default:"https://molove.com/"|replace("https://molove.com", "") }}{% set base_url, path = event.custom_link|default:"https://molove.com/"|split('/', 1) %}{{ base_url }}/de/{{ path }}

Unset multiple custom properties at the same time?

We’re using the API to unset a custom property.  This works:     $data = '{"data":    {            "type":"profile",            "id":"01GGQ27017WQ2K1H52ZJTZ40T9",            "attributes":{},            "properties":{},            "meta": { "patch_properties": {"unset": "Something"} }    }}';   Is there a way to unset many at the same time?  We don’t want to have to make 10 API calls to unset 10 properties.

Is there any way, via the API, to find which list is the trigger for a flow?

Adding more Complex Customer Profile Properties

In our shopify we’re collecting occasions important to our customers (nephew’s birthday, their anniversary etc.). These occasions contain the following fields: recipient’s name, the date, the occasion type, the type of person the recipient is (and an occasion ID, created at date), which are stored via API in a database. I think we would need to use Customer Profile Properties to be able to use these in segments and flows (e.g. sending a reminder email when a birthday is coming up, with suggestions for relevant gifts). Do you have any advice on how to achieve this - e.g. using the key-value pairs of Customer Profile Properties, should there be a new property for each occasion field (perhaps utilising the occasion ID) - as they will need to be able to be related to each other somehow (so we can e.g. get the recipient’s name attached to an occasion date) - and will also need to be able to update / delete. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

How to display unqiue products in a fulfilled orders dynamic content block

Hello,Isn’t there a way to remove duplicate products, or only show unique products, in an email using a dynamic content block from fulfilled orders?I understand from some of the other submitted questions, that because each item is listed separately in the fulfilled orders table, they are displayed this way in the email. But surely there’s a custom script/code snippet we can use that would limit the products displayed to just unique product id’s?I don’t see this scenario in your “Use conditionals in messages” topic, but I would think there is some “if item.0 = item.1, hide item.1” type code we could use. This is for 2 emails we’re working on implementing: - Write a Review email  - Restock emailSo you can see why having the email display multiples of the same product would create a poor customer experience.Please let me know.Thank you in advance for your help.

401 Unauthorized API Call on Google Tag Manager

Hi guys,I’m trying to integrate Klaviyo through GTM for a custom website and no native integration. I’m trying to capture a user email on the website on a newsletter form, then sync it to Klaviyo and also subscribe it to email marketing and push that user into a list. However, I tried to follow the API sample code but it always return 401 error unauthorized. It works on Postman if I put the API Key into Authorization section instead of Header section. The API I’m using is https://developers.klaviyo.com/en/v1-2/reference/subscribe. Discrepancy between API endpoint /api/metric-aggregates/ and exported reporting data

Insert custom url event variable into a campaign

Hey, We use Trustpilot to gather product reviews, (this is historic before we moved to Klaviyo).For customers who have forgotten to review a product or didn’t feel the time was right or reviewed just our service. I’d like to invite them again to review the product in a more personalised way using a campaign. Trustpilot generates a custom url and invites people who have purchased. Once they click on the URL the product is displayed and it ensures; they review the correct product; the review gets a verified purchase check & goes to the email address associated with the order. Is it possible to add a custom property (the unique url) to the customer profile and then insert that into a campaign? (As an aside, I am looking into Klaviyo Reviews & I am aware of Trustpilot Integration but this is just to display existing reviews not gather new ones).   Thanks,Claire

Multiple currencies and multiple locales

Hi, we are building our custom Klaviyo integration (not Shopify). Now wer are struggling to understand how to implement multi locale and multi currency integration.  For example - we have products which have prices in eur, gbp and usd. Product titles are localized in DE and EN.  What is the best practice to store these data on catalog item? Store them in “custom_metadata”? It seems like to have separated sub accounts / accounts for all the combinations… Maybe we are missing something? Thank you!

Using the latest API to get data about each email send

I’m migrating from an old version of the API to the latest (2023-10-15). I would like to query for all of the individual email sends that have happened over a time period, including data about the recipients of the email. Previously, I was doing this in Ruby like this:  metrics = Klaviyo::Metrics.get_metric_timeline(   "TTP7r5",   count: 50,   since: 1.week.ago,   sort: "desc" ) In the new API, I see that there is an endpoint for getting metrics, but it seems to only return data about the metric itself. And then there is the metric aggregates endpoint, but I don’t want an aggregate, I’d like the individual events. The only thing I’ve been able to figure out that this endpoint will return is counts of emails sent. Is there a way to get the individual email events now?

Hello, is it possible to fetch the information that how many people have signed up to a list.  My ultimate to purpose is to fetch this info in Make(Integromat) and set my form to draft when the number increases a certain threshold. Do you think it can be done?

New segment from "Placed order event" with case "where [items] contains"....

Hello,I have just made custom integration and imported web shop orders to klaviyo profiles and they are visible in profiles activity feed:  When creating new segment when someone has “Placed order” i get no autocomplete-options if i select where “Items”. All other cases(brands, categories….) works fine and offer some options.I’m new to klaviyo and I’m not sure what should even appear here? Is everything ok or am I missing something?I would appreciate any help.Thanks

How to send notification mail to a specific user's email from the server side through the API?

I have a use case where  I want to send an email with placeholders to a single user, like a notification email. For example, when a user’s subscription is about to end, I want to send a reminder email only to that one user whose subscription is about to end from the server side.Is there a way to manually trigger the flow from the server side using API by passing recipient’s email or profile Id and notification content as placeholders.I looked for all the APIs klaviyo-api npm package provided, but couldn’t find any API suitable for my use case.Please help me with this. Get All Events In Account for Specific Date Range and Specific Metric_ID(s)

This was possible using the old version of the Python SDK however it does not appear to be possible here (or I”m missing).  I’d like to grab all events in my account but only those that pertain to a certain set of metric_ids and for a specific time range.   The problem with just grabbing all events is that on certain days, I’m grabbing 1million+ events which I don’t need.  I’m hoping if I can narrow my query to a certain metric Id my query would take a lot less time. Is this possible with the new version of the API?

Javascript tracking with custom ecommerce platform until user signs in

Hi,I have a custom eCommerce platform.We could have a scenario where the customer visits the site. He has no cookies set so we do not have the email Id. He views a couple of products and then signs in. When he signs in we have the email id. How do we ensure that the products he viewed is associated with his email Id? can that happen automaticially ro we have to do something on our side.IS there any example that one can point to. Once he is logged in we are able to track, i wanted to know about the events before he logs in. How do we track that?

How to associate specific activities with specific events/metrics we create?

Hi. We use Klavyio to send transactional emails to our customers who send inquiries/book vendors on our marketplace. Using Klavyio API we can get information about all emails (metrics) that we have sent to the customer. However, we cannot associate specific emails with specific inquiries/bookings. We want to understand if the customer has opened specific email and when he did that. Does anybody now to connect specific activities (email delivered, email opened) with a specific event? Thank you in advance!

Is there any way to generate random Profile Property value in flows Property update step?

Hey! I’m kinda new to Klaviyo, but I have some experience in different Ecomm marketing systems.I want to generate a random value (for example: random code for coupon), that I can send out in email during the flow steps. Is there any macro or something to do this, or do I have to use a 3rd party app like Make.com to get back the random value via API. It would be nice to not use any 3rd party app to do this, for a relatively easy task.Thanks,Greg.
