I am planning to set up Verified emails following this guide: https://support.google.com/mail/answer/13130196. The first thing I'd like to ask about is Verified emails: If I purchase Verified Mark Certificates (VMC) (about $1300 - $1500) and then integrate them into the Klaviyo system, will the blue checkmark (e.g., support1@mydomain.com, support1@mydomain.com) be displayed in the customer's email?

Hi @tuanictu97, welcome to the community!

For the VMC to show in Gmail specifically, you need to do all the items listed in the documentation you shared.  The BIMI and VMC are sort of outside the scope of Klaviyo as it has to do with your trademark and getting a proper certificate to prove that you own (have rights) to the trademark digitally via your DNS provider.

As for the DMARC portion, that will only work if you are on a Dedicated Sending Infrastructure here in Klaviyo and not pare of the shared infrastructure so you can also configure your SPF/DKIM.  Klaviyo has a good overview documentation here, if you haven’t seen it already:

And if you want to learn more about setting up your dedicated sending infrastructure, here’s more information about that here:

Just note, these are fairly advanced configurations and topics and be cautious that misconfiguring your DNS can sometimes take down your website or emails completely as it is part of the critical infrastructure of how the internet works.  If this is your first time, make sure you read up on it or get help from an IT expert if possible.

Finally, from my observation, the Checkmark and Profile Logo in Gmail, though nice to have, hasn’t really changed the open rate or conversion rate of emails.  I think on the fringe, it can make a difference from a trust or perception factor, but as of now, most consumers are not familiar with it as most brands (except the biggest ones) have yet to implement this.

Of course, this will change as more and more organization get on board and properly authenticate their brands/trademarks and as more clients (outside of Gmail) adopt visible marks in their email clients.

Hope that helps!
