Hey there. So i am interested in using klaviyo for my new brand, it is my CRM of choice. However im unsure if my business is ideal for klaviyo. The costs for klaviyo are high, and I just need to send newsletters, and direct traffic to crowdfunding prelaunch pages on kickstarter. I dont directly sell product on my store and dont get monthly sales to offset the cost. So if I quickly reach 1000 subscribers it cost me more than $600 a year. I wanted to know if klaviyo can do any custom pricing for a situation like mine? Ill only be sending emails roughly once every 3 months. Our campaigns do generate decent revenue, but im hoping to only pay for klaviyo based on my needs.

Hi @DavidFae,

Thanks for the question! Klaviyo’s pricing is based on amount of active profiles in an account, along with emails sent. Our plans generally allow for 10x the amount of email sends as active profiles you have. For example, if you have between 500-1000 active profiles, you can choose the $30/month plan, which will also allow for 10,000 email sends per month. This would come out to $360 annually. If you reach 1000 subscribers, like you’re predicting, your plan would upgrade to $45/month, which would come out to $540 a year. We currently aren’t offering alternative pricing options to this.

That being said, beginning on February 18th, Klaviyo will begin to offer an option to auto-downgrade, based on the number of active profiles in your account. With this billing preference option selected, Klaviyo will downgrade your email plan if your active profile count qualifies for a lower tier at the start of each billing cycle.

Let me know if I can answer any additional questions regarding this, and have a great rest of your day.
