We’re looking for a self-driven Senior Email/SMS Marketing Specialist to fill a newly created role at Vegamour, a fast-growing, well-funded startup. Come join the Retention marketing team and make an impact!
Our objective is to grow revenue by delivering personalized communications across multiple platforms that improve customer retention and lifetime value. Your primary responsibilities will be to manage large-scale email and SMS marketing flows from development to execution.
Responsibilities

Execute email and SMS marketing campaigns including setup, building, targeting, and testing to deployment

Build and optimize all email and SMS flows, including, but not limited to, post-purchase journeys, lapsed buyer flows, re-engagement initiatives, and transactional emails

Implement personalization and segmentation of emails and SMS messages, scaling them across many audiences

Collaborate with the creative/design team on upgrades needed for email templates using graphics, personalization, and advanced features and incorporate them into existing templates

Ensure design and layouts of emails are optimized, are user- and mobile-friendly, and follow industry policies and best practices

Proofread emails and SMS messages for clarity, grammar, and spelling

Ensure proper list hygiene and purge all inactive subscribers

Maintain clear and consistent communication inside our internal project management tool (Monday)

Track projects through all phases from requests through approvals to ensure accuracy and timely execution

Brainstorm customer retention, campaign content, and segmentations independently or alongside other team members

Analyze email and SMS performance, providing recommendations to improve the effectiveness of campaigns and journeys

Develop monthly email marketing and SMS calendar, in partnership with the Brand Marketing team and Retention team, based on forecasts, internal findings, and competitive research

Manage digital marketing campaigns (email, SMS) to maximize the company omnichannel message in collaboration with Brand and Performance Marketing teams

Manage all assigned projects
Requirements
-
4+ years email marketing work experience, including hands-on experience with HTML/CSS

Ability to report on metrics and alter plans where needed

Strong project management skills

Proficiency in marketing automation technology

Knowledge of Google Analytics or other reporting tools

Excellent written communication and copywriting skills

Strong attention to detail

Ability to work under tight deadlines, solve problems, and troubleshoot

Experience with Klaviyo is strongly preferred

Ready to take the initiative and find solutions when given little direction

Understanding of digital marketing principles, specifically email and SMS marketing best practices

BS degree in Marketing or relevant field
