Napkin response time

Hello,

I’ve followed the tutorial using Napkin to connect content in a Google Sheet to a campaign template.

Everything works okay, except that we routinely get slow response times from the feed and Klaviyo is warning that our refresh will switch to nightly.

Using my browser’s network inspector (and some help from ChatGPT, so I might have been misinformed) it looks like most of the delay occurs on reading from the source google sheet.

Are there any tips for improving that, anything I could be doing on the Google side of things?

The data isn’t big at all – 19 rows, 15 columns, just some basic text in the cells between 10 to perhaps 50 characters in each at the most.

here’s the function itself, largely taken from the guide article with some modifications (again that  ChatGPT helped me with).

Hi! Could you post the function?

Oh, I apparently missed this reply and also clearly intended to post the function in the first place!

Here’s the link to the function:

I’d also like help understanding just how stable or secure a setup like this is for regular, live production of newsletter emails going to 10s of thousands of recipients several times a week.

My client has reported seeing issues with previews not rendering content from the source as expected, but these are intermittent and tricky to replicate. The performance of the function would seem to be the cause here; it varies from less than two seconds to more than seven sometimes.
