Sync product metafields on Shopify to Klaviyo

Hello,

 

I would like to know how to sync products metafields on Shopify to Klaviyo, so I can send abandoned cart emails to the customers and show these metafields.

 

For example: 

  • Product Shopify name: Extra dose coffee beans (New)
  • metafield for this product as a title: Coffee Beans
  • metafield for this product as a subtitle: Extra Dose

Expected output:

Product name on abandoned cart emails to show: (instead of showing the default Shopify product name)

Coffee Beans
Extra Dose

Hi @Kam!

It’s not possible to alter the information that Shopify sends to Klaviyo in a native event from within Klaviyo’s UI. If this metadata is not available when viewing the metric in the Analytics page and then clicking on the details under a customers' timestamp, then it won’t be available for use in an email:

If you want to include more information, you would have to customize the Checkout Started metric (which triggers the abandoned cart flow) using our APIs. This type of custom effort would be beyond the scope of support/community, as it would require extra development. If you decide to go this route, you’re always welcome to reach out to one of our wonderful Official Partners for further development help.

How to use klaviyo to send: “How to use your routine” email - based on customer purchase (dynamic sections) - (using custom.collapsible_how_to_use metafield from shopify)

Basically I want to send an automated email that is based on customer order and will only show the how to use for the specific products they bought. I have this populated in a shopify metafield - but how to I sync this to klaviyo?

I’m very new to klaviyo so any help would be much appreciated.
