Similar to what @retention had mentioned earlier, it’s likely that the elsif/endif default condition was broken when the content was edited. Klaviyo doesn’t typically recommend deleting or editing default Shopify templates, as it can often lead to not properly closing the appropriate endif/elsif tags. What you can do is look for areas in the code where the tags aren’t being closed properly around the elsif tag, or revert back to the default template as those are tested and certain to work.

In the future, it’s recommended that if you’re not very comfortable editing code, an alternative option is to seek a Klaviyo Partner to help you work through the template code. You can see a full list of our Klaviyo Agency Partners in this Directory List.

As @cassy.lee, had highlighted this typically occurs after editing a Shopify Notification Template and trying to import it into Shopify where an “if” statement is not fully completed. I have the same exact issue. I have NOT edited the code. This is specifically for the “shipment delivered” template. Was anyone able to resolve it?

Similar to what @cassy.lee had suggestion, I would recommend reviewing the HTML of the template you were trying to export to locate any areas where the “if” statements aren’t closed properly leading to the “elsif” tag error and either removing the “elsif” altogether or finding a means to close the “if” statement.
