Is there a way to create an omni-channel campaign after sending a single campaign? I realized after the single campaign email was sent that I have follow up messages I want to send based on the first email. What would be the best way to handle this situation?

Hey @SarahAtTrainers

No I dont think you can do that after you send a single channel campaign into an omnichannel one, but you have two solid paths forward depending on what "follow up based on the first email" means for you.

If you want to send follow-ups based on how people engaged with that first email (opened it, didn't open it, clicked a link), the cleanest approach is to build segments based on that campaign's activity and then send new campaigns to those segments. It takes a few more steps than a built-in omnichannel flow, but it gets you to the same outcome.

If you want something more automated going forward, the other option is a segment-triggered flow. Build your engagement segment (openers, clickers, non-openers)., then create a flow triggered by someone joining that segment. You can add a time delay, then send your follow-up email or SMS from inside the flow., To process the people who already qualify, you'd need to back-populate the flow after setting it up.

The omnichannel campaign follow-up feature (where Klaviyo automatically sets up audience filters based on prior message engagement) only works within an omnichannel campaign that already has at least one message. Since your first message went out as a standalone campaign, that built-in feature isn't available for it.

Let me know if you have any follow up questions.

I hope this helps and thank you for sharing your question here in the community.  If you're still stuck, feel free to schedule a call with us - https://flowium.com/lp/klaviyo-agency/
