Missing dynamic options in Review quote block for abandoned cart flow

Hello everyone!

I’ve recently exported some review from Judge.me and uploaded the .csv file to Klaviyo.

Coming back to one of the flows I’m working on (abandoned cart), I add the Review quote block, I pick the dynamic data feature and move on to selecting some featured reviews for each of the 2 products I currently sell in my Shopify store.

Fast forward to a couple of hours later, the block isn’t giving me the option to change between dynamic and static data anymore or to edit the reviews featured. It’s missing these options on new blocks, as well as on other flows I have on my account. When I add a new block, it only allows me to pick one review and change the design. Same for trying to edit the one set as dynamic earlier.

When I preview emails or send tests, the review marked as featured shows just fine.

What could have broken this feature and how can I fix it? I’m afraid that if I delete the reviews import and add them again, it might mess up the block I have now and that shows dynamic reviews, even if I can’t edit it properly.

Hey @nag can

when you go to Reviews > All Reviews in your Klaviyo account, do your imported Judge.me reviews show a verified badge, or do they appear as unverified?

The reason I ask is that the review quote block, both static and dynamic modes, only works with verified reviews. If the CSV import didn't carry over a verification flag, Klaviyo treats those reviews as unverified and the block behaves exactly the way you're describing. Knowing your verification status will tell us whether this is a data issue or something else entirely.

let me know what you see. i hope this helps. thanks and cheers

@ArpitBanjara Thanks for taking the time to answer and excuse my late reply!

As I have no idea how a verified review is different from an unverified review, at least visually, (I’m really new to klaviyo), I’ve simply checked the filter in the left panel to Show only Verified and when I did that, my list of reviews emptied. I assume that means they are not verified?
What would the next step be? I should mention everything I use is on the free plan.

Random enough, going back to edit some information on that email today, I clicked the Review block and the options were showing again… 😅. Can we assume that this is temporary and still try and give me a fix for it?
