Shopify Collective Orders - "Duplicate" email addresses

Are people experiencing this problem with Shopify Collective? Shopify orders get created with special email addresses like “joe.oh+109976596@example.com” and “joe.oh+1099747486@example.com” which each get added to Klaviyo as a profile. When campaigns are delivered, this person would then get multiple deliveries. Klaviyo is technically not doing anything wrong but I’m curious if people have encountered this and what possible protections people have implemented.

Thanks!

Hi there. When we set up Collective for our client, we also made sure that collective orders would be tagged. We use that special tag to exclude the transactional or other email flows from Klaviyo. Works perfectly. We can’t campaign to a  hola+9742812348640@blabla.com email address anyway. Second, we don’t want the retailer clients getting email marketing from our client. That’d look very weird.
