I wonder if the “Schedule”, “Send Now”, “Type” (Fixed, Gradual and Smart) and “Timezone” settings combine to present different send times on the Campaign overview page.
Hi Ben, this issue usually occurs because Klaviyo displays timestamps based on different time zones depending on the context — for example, the campaign overview page may use server time (often EDT or UTC), while analytics or activity logs might show the recipient’s local time, especially if “Send in recipient’s time zone” is enabled. Even though your organizational time zone is set to Auckland, not all parts of Klaviyo reflect that setting consistently. To minimize confusion, double-check your account settings under Organization → Time Zone to confirm it’s set correctly, and use the Campaign Details page when comparing send times, as it aligns more closely with your configured zone. Unfortunately, Klaviyo doesn’t currently allow you to force all timestamps to display in one unified time zone.
Thanks @ross_hopkins. We see no correlation with how they were sent. 99% were scheduled and many of them show an EDT time.
Thanks @Cecília1, the screenshot above is from the campaign overview page. We also never send in the recipients timezone unless in error - all our buyers are in New Zealand.
And as per the screenshot above, both our Users and Organisational timezones are correct: Auckland/Pacific.
It’s worth noting that...
We only started seeing this as of yesterday
All Drafts in the Campaign Overview show as EDT
From the Campaign Overview page, we see a mix of three timezones: EDT, UTC, GMT+12
The NZ time zone isn’t fixed, yesterday NZT showed as GMT+13 but today, it’s GMT+12...
We’ve now noted the send times of specific campaigns as we’re fairly certain those dates have changed compared to yesterday.
New Zealand switched to daylight savings time but that was on the 28th of September, so several weeks ago.
Anyway, thanks for the help, not sure why we’re the only ones seeing this.
