Updating a custom list property via API is not working as expected

Hi @Petru  In order to update or add an array/list property to a profile you need to pass the query parameter and value for each item in the list e.g.?newKey=cat&newKey=dogThis will then be reflected on the profile as Two things to note.Updating a custom property will overwrite the existing one. If you are adding an item to the list/array you’ll need to include all the existing values in your PUT request. If you only add a single value this will convert the value to a string and it will not longer be a list.Additionally, it’s not recommended to manually update the Shopify Tags property on a profile as this property is automatically updated through the Shopify integration sync. This property does not sync back to Shopify, therefore the value can get out of sync if it’s updated manually in Klaviyo. Best,Scott

Collecting additional properties in WooCommerce via API

Hi @Summum  Another potential solution would be to make an identify request to Klaviyo. This would allow you to update a custom property on a profile that corresponds to the language the customer uses on your website. This property would be accessed as a profile property within Klaviyo instead of event data and, additionally, this property will correspond to the profile rather than an individual event. Best,Scott

Update Existing API Events

Hi @cdetdi  I’d recommend appending a timestamp or date to the $unique_id (OrderID) property for the Order Modified events. This will allow you to continue recording those events for the same order. Best,Scott

Back In Stock Button & Popup on Shopify Collection Pages

Hi @chrisnichols  While Klaviyo’s BIS feature was not optimized for collections pages, it is possible with some customization to your theme. Please note, the feature is also only guaranteed to work for the default, free Shopify themes so if you’re using a custom theme it may require further development work to get this working. To enable the feature on collections pages you’ll need to update the snippet in your theme.liquid file. Make sure you include any partial paths to collection pages where you want Klaviyo’s onsite code to add the trigger/button.klaviyo.init({ account: "{ACCOUINT_ID}", platform: "shopify", collection_urls: ["/collections/"] });Additionally, you can update the trigger settings to style the collection BIS button separately from that on a product page.trigger: { collection_page_class: 'btn', collection_page_text_align: 'center', collection_page_width: '200px', collection_page_text: 'Notify Me When Available', collection

WooCommerce Blocks - Started Checkout Not Working

Hi @stevecachia  You’re absolutely right, the checkout block from the Woocommerce Blocks plugin does use a different input element that Klaviyo’s plugin does not listen for. However, the checkout block also doesn’t execute the ‘woocommerce_after_checkout_form’ action which Klaviyo’s plugin depends on for localizing the checkout data for the Started Checkout event. I’ve added supporting Woocommerce Blocks checkout block as a feature request to our product board. Keep an eye out in future plugin versions for this feature. Best,Scott

Constant wc_get_cart_url() error

Thanks @hristolaskov , I suspect this is related to multisite. Klaviyo’s plugin was never built to be compatible with multisite Wordpress instances. Let me test this a little further to try and re-create the issue and, if able, we can hopefully update our plugin to resolve this issue. Best,Scott

New products from woocommerce

Hi @bullionmart  Klaviyo’s Woocommerce integration should sync products automatically. If you’re not seeing these product updates reflected in your Klaviyo catalog and product feeds you’ll want to check on the status of your integration. Klaviyo will send you a notification if your integration fails.One of the most common issues for Woocommerce integration failures are related to authorization/permissions. I would recommend walking through the integration steps as detailed here and making sure to generate new REST API keys with the appropriate permissions. Best,Scott

Hi Dan, Apologies for any confusion. Yes, the ProfileModel (imported as KlaviyoProfile in the documentation) accepts an associative array with the profile properties. I’ll update my response which contained the typo.With regard to the address fields, these are “special properties” in Klaviyo. Hi Dan, Yes, you’re nearly there, just wrap the KlaviyoProfile in an array e.g.$addProfile = array( new KlaviyoProfile( array( '$email' => "dan@divinusinc.com", '$first_name' => "Test", '$last_name' => "Man", '$phone_number' => "(214) 555-1212", ) ));FYI, you can add multiple profiles with a single request, just add other KlaviyoProfiles to the array you pass to the addMembersToList method. Best,Scott

Update Existing API Events

Hi @spyroslina Unfortunately, once an event has been recorded in your Klaviyo account it cannot be updated.If there is a lifecycle to the series of actions that you are recording I would recommend creating a new event type for each step in the cycle e.g. the order process contains Started Checkout, Placed Order, Fulfilled Order events. Each can correspond to the same order however the event data will be different for each as new information becomes available further on in the order lifecycle. For example, a Fulfilled Order event might have shipping information where this data would not yet exist for a Started Checkout or Placed Order event. You’ll have access to the relevant event data in Flow emails triggered on that event.Alternatively, if your event can be broken down into smaller components this might also provide you the functionality you seek. One example might be tracking a Cart within Klaviyo. Rather than tracking a cart in its sum, you can send Klaviyo an event each time the c

Issue with Klaviyo integration in Prestashop

Hi @Onlysilver  If you’ve ensured that the webservice key, automatically generated by Klaviyo’s module, already has the proper permissions then this could indicate you need to add a rewrite rule to your server’s .htaccess file. If your server runs PHP via CGI or FPM (you can check with your hosting provider) you’ll likely need to add the following two lines so that Klaviyo’s authentication headers get passed along to PrestaShop.The lines to add to your server’s .htaccess file are:RewriteCond %{HTTP:Authorization} ^(.*)RewriteRule . - [E=HTTP_AUTHORIZATION:%1]Let us know if this doesn’t resolve the issue for you. Best,Scott
