How to set up my if statement correctly?

Hello, Ive read the article “Use conditionals in messages” from Klaviyo and wrote an if statement trying to use the given information but when I want to send a test to myself, there is an error message saying: “There is an error in your email content.<br />The "lookup" filter requires 2 arguments, but 1 was given” Here is my code, its very simple: {% if person|lookup:“title“ == „female“ %}Sehr geehrte Frau {{ person|lookup:'last_name' }}{% elif person|lookup:“title“ == „male“ %}Sehr geehrter Herr {{ person|lookup:'last_name' }}{% else %}Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,{% endif %} The Gender of our customers is set through the property “title”. How to re-subscribe to Klaviyo if user has previously unsubscribed?

Replacement for v1/v2 {list_or_segment_id}/members/all in new API

Hi!We are currently using this endpoint to get all members of a list and segment “pretty” fast cause each request returns up to 1000 profiles with Email and Phone Number.Now when this gets deprecated, we are very limited to this functionality, since in our own Web-App we are syncing the lists/segments from klaviyo to our CRM. When I use alternative endpoints, with only max. 100 profiles returned, the sync for a segment/list takes 10x the current time, which is already long (approx. 5 minutes for segment > 30k)Does someone have a solution for this? Or any tips on how I can improve on my end?

Setting up dedicated sending domain with Wix

Hello,I’m trying to add a branded sending domain. The domain I’m using is through Wix and I’ve learned that I have to use the static routing because Wix doesn’t allow me to add or edit NS records. But I’ve also come across a problem entering the TXT record, Wix doesn’t allow the use of the @ symbol for the host name (that is what Klayvio is generating). Any work around for this?

Segmentation based on metadata

Hi thereWe want to help one of our clients be able to segment customers based off their booking period, rather than just their placed order date.The company is renting items to private consumers, and we want to be able to send automated mails to the customers based on their pick-up and return dates - not just what date they placed the order.However, currently this information is stored in the metadata, and therefore we can’t segment based on that data. Klaviyo Support says that we need to move the data “higher”, so we can see it in our property overview. However, they can’t be specific about WHERE we need to move the data, in order to be able to use it when segmenting it. Can anyone help exactly where in JSON this info needs to be present in order to qualify as “primary” data, so we can see it as a property just like we can with category, item name etc.Any help would be much appreciated - thanks in advance!Best regardsMads

Show logic for sexe property

Hi, I am creating a Sexe property that being populating slowly. So i have people that have the property filled with man or woman, and I have some people that don’t have the property.  As my business in 90% female, I want to consider all the people that did not answer as female. In my emails, i would like to show a product block to :Male : person.Sexe == 'male' (seems to work) Female and unknown : I don’t know what logic to use.Thanks a lot for your help,Laurent

klaviyo exchange id returns multiple klaviyo profiles

Hello,recently we’ve been using the klaviyo exchange id which exists on the client in order to fetch the profile.we use this api call:https://a.klaviyo.com/api/profiles/and with filters set to filter=equals%28_kx%2C%27exchange_ID…for some reason, we sometimes get multiple profiles as the response, and are unsure why it happens, any hint will help. Thanks,

Unsurpressing profiles - do they come back into flows they did not finish?

Hi there,I’ve surpressed 2 profiles so they no longer receive emails from a flow. I will unsurpress these profiles after a number of weeks so they skip a particular flow however, when I unsurpress them, do they go back into the flow that they did not complete OR because the time has lapsed on the email triggers, will they just get the new emails? Ideally, I want them to skip the flow and just get the new emails - is this what will happen when I unsurpress the profiles? ThanksSri

Unable to patch/update the profile data

Updating custom profile property when creating an event

I’m wondering if it’s possible to add or update profile custom properties using the Create Event endpoint? I’m sending a POST request as described in the docs and including both an existing custom property (with a new value) as well as a totally new custom property, but it seems that the value of the existing custom property isn’t changing, and the new custom property isn’t being added. Retrieving list unsubscribes or global unsubscribes using latest version of API

We want to download/retrieve email addresses of all profiles that have unsubscribed from a list. We need to do this to keep our global opt-outs in sync with other apps. I see that API v2 had API endpoint to do this. Looks like the latest version of the API does not. How can we retrieve opt-outs/unsubs? What’s the best way to do it using the API?Any help or pointers would be appreciated, thank you.

How can I pass UTM parameters when subscribing a user to a list via the API?

A site I’m working on has a mailing list subscription form. On submission, the user is subscribed to a Klaviyo list via the API.Previously, there was an embedded form, and UTM tracking information from query parameters was automatically included, and showed up against the user so my client could see where they came from.Now, however, we’ve built a custom solution which does not use the Klavyio-provided JS, and instead communicates with the Klaviyo API directly. There is currently nothing passing through any UTM query parameters to Klaviyo. I need to restore this feature.At the moment I’m using a 3rd-party integration with Klaviyo, and I can see from reading its source code that it is using the deprecated v2 version of the Klaviyo API. I’ve opened a feature request for them to update this, but that is not the primary concern right now.I am not averse to writing and submitting a patch to that integration which adds the tracking information submission. Subscribing users

Hi there! We have a registration form on our WordPress site. Whenever a user registers we’d like to add his email to a chosen list. We’ve searched the Klaviyo API and we found that we can use this - https://developers.klaviyo.com/en/reference/create_client_subscription.Can you help us and confirm if we should use this? We tried adding the nessary data to the script in the article above but then when we try to execute it on successful registration we get a fulfilled promise but nothing really happens in the list, the profile is not there.We tried running this script with an email that we have access to, but haven’t received anything yet.What should we do?Thanks!Kind regards.

Profile subscription for email

HI! Some time ago I created over 10 000 profiles in Klaviyo and then put them into different lists, I was using Klaviyo API for that. Now I want to iterate over each profile and change their Email from “Never subscribed” to “Subscribed”, based on my own parameters from my own database. I do not want to add existing profiles to other lists, I just want to change the email subscription status. How can I do that, which endpoint should I use?

Issues setting up a dedicated sending domain

Hi, please help me understand where the problem is in the way I’m pointing the DNS records for a dedicated email server. The root domain name is: babycharm.store and the subdomain I am hoping to use is send.babycharm.store. Two images below show the records Klaviyo is giving me to update DNS records with. DNS - TXT

Hi,  The last line to get a custom domain is a TXT. I am hosted on AWS. Every time I try to go in and create that TXT record, I get this error:”A record with the specified name already exists.”Is that because we already have a TXT with our domain name that allows us to get our emails in outlook? How can we have both? Thanks,

A better way to load Klaviyo object?

Hi everyone,I am working on a React base Custom Storefront for my Shopify shop using Klaviyo. In order to access Klaviyo’s object to push or identify a user, I am needing to load the Klaviyo object per page. Django - need help refining if/else logic when if condition is true more than once
