I am currently not on a paid klaviyo plan (I had an active account but I put my store on temporary hiatus which is why I’m currently on a $0 plan). However I will soon be on the paid plan in the future.

My question is, I have created a new pop up form and linked it to my website. If customers enter their email into that form, will their email still be stored in the list for when I later join the paid plan?

I have tested it out by putting my email in the pop up form, it says 2 emails submitted, but in the profiles section my emails dont show at all. So just wondering if I really do need to buy a plan to keep these email, as I want to build it before I actually switch on my store again. I currently dont want to pay the monthly plans as I am not sending out any campaigns within the next 3 months, so it would be a waste of money for me

@importantmuffin,  I think if you canceled your account but didn’t reactivate as free, your account would be in a state where you can’t collect signups, send campaigns, trigger flows, etc. If you go to Billing > Preferences, do you see a button to “Reactivate as free”?  More details in the Klaviyo docs - https://help.klaviyo.com/hc/en-us/articles/1260805595309

There are a few reasons why you might not see a profile be created after signing up via a signup form; a double-opt-in list — which you confirmed was not the problem here — or triggering Klaviyo’s list-bombing are the most common.

You don’t need to buy a plan, the list you have connected it to might be double opt in which is why none of them are found in Klaviyo yet - https://help.klaviyo.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005251108

So don’t worry, it is nothing to do with a paid plan. I would recommend using Mail Ward from the app store if you do change this to single opt in though because it stops any spam profiles entering your flows.

@CRM Global

Thanks for replying. I would like to say that the forum was not on double opt in, I ensured that it was on single opt in and then tested on the email to check.

Hi @importantmuffin,

Did you manage to get this figured out? I can confirm what Cadence mentioned. If your account is cancelled, but not reactivated to free, sign-up forms won’t work as expected. Additionally, if you’re on the free plan (not cancelled), I’d recommend signing up using a different email, and on a different device. If that sign-up goes through, and you see your profile on the profiles page, it means that our list-bombing protections were likely preventing your original profile from subscribing.
