Subscribers don't receive a double opt confirmation mail

I created embed sign up forms for my website. When customers fill their e-mail adres and subscribe, they are not immediately added to the list that I selected in the sign up form. I do see that their profile is being added to “Audience → Profiles”. Double opt in is mandatory in the countries that my store sells in.

After doing some research I found out that customers are only added to a list when they actually confirm their email subscription, but this is also not possible, because the customer does not receive a mail to verify.

I don’t understand how I can fix this so the subscriber actually receives a email verify e-mail. All help is appreciated :)

Thanks in advance.

Hi @Reoffice,

You’re subscribing to a list that’s double opt-in, but never receiving the confirmation emails, correct? This issue is sometimes caused by Branded Sending Domain and sender email/DMARC misalignment. Would you mind checking that:

  • The domain of your default sender email address (the website after the @) on this page matches the domain of your Branded Sending Domain.
  • You have a valid DMARC policy in your DNS records. If your DMARC policy is very restrictive, and set to p=reject, you might want to change it to p=none to allow more emails to be accepted.

After you confirm both of these things, can you test again? Let me know how that works!
