Best Practice: Multi-Brand (5 domains) & Shopify Markets setup for Transactional Emails

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for the most scalable architecture for a multi-brand setup within one Shopify store using Shopify Markets. We are expanding to 5 different brands with unique root domains (e.g., .se, .nl, .de, etc.) and I need to solve our automated transactional email strategy.

I have a few specific questions regarding what is technically possible in Klaviyo in 2026:

  1. Multiple Branded Sending Domains: Is it possible to verify and use 5 different root domains for sending within a single Klaviyo account? Or are we strictly limited to one Branded Sending Domain (BSD)?

  2. Neutral Domain Strategy: If we are limited to one BSD (e.g., novaorders.com), can we reliably use Conditional Splits based on the Shopify Market Handle to swap out logos, languages, and "Reply-To" addresses for all 5 brands within the same flow?

  3. Google Groups as Sender Addresses: We plan to use Google Group aliases (e.g., service-nl@novaorders.com) as the "From Address" to trigger localized auto-replies in Google Workspace. Does Klaviyo allow sending from these group addresses as long as the root domain is verified?

  4. Transactional Approval: With 5 different brand templates (logos/languages) for the same trigger (Order Confirmed), do we need to submit each individual message for manual transactional approval? Does editing one brand's template trigger a re-approval for all of them?

  5. Alternative Solutions: For those managing 5+ brands in one store, would you recommend staying in one Klaviyo account with a neutral domain, or is there a better way to ensure 100% brand isolation for transactional receipts?

Any insights from people running similar multi-market setups would be greatly appreciated!

Best regards, Nova

Hi @novaorders

Thank you for reaching out to the Community!

  1. A single Klaviyo account can only support one branded sending domain. In a Shopify Markets setup, the standard integration model is also one Shopify account to one Klaviyo account.
  1. If you stay in one Klaviyo account, you can localize transactional messaging by using Shopify Markets data such as Locale, Locale Language, and Locale Country in segmentation, templates, and flow logic (conditional splits).
  1. For From addresses, Klaviyo allows multiple aliases as long as the root domain aligns with the active branded sending domain. The Reply-To address does not need to align with the sending domain.
  1. On transactional approval, the key rule is that if a transactional message is edited, it loses its transactional status and must be resubmitted for approval. If you edit one transactional email within the flow, this will not remove transactional status from all of the emails in the flow.
  1. From an architecture perspective, if your goal is the most scalable native setup within a single Shopify Markets store, I would generally recommend one Klaviyo account + one branded sending domain + market/locale-based branching in flows and templates.

I hope this helps, and I will leave this thread open in case other Community members want to chime in!
