Best practices for welcome flow filters

welcome flow is usually a list triggered flow. so that will be the trigger.

for the filters - check the Re-entry criteria setting in your flow's trigger panel and set it to no re-entry, so a resubscribe doesn't restart the series like they're brand new. 

If there's a first purchase discount involved, add - Placed order zero times over all time

Further into the flow, add Has not placed an order since starting this flow as a profile filter on each email, since Klaviyo rechecks profile filters before every send, not just at entry, so this stops someone from getting later emails after they've already converted.

if you have a abandoned checkout flow as well then you should also add - Checkout started zero times since starting this flow so that they exit welcome flow and go into abandoned checkout flow if they start a checkout.

all the above filters in AND condition.
