A Campaign with No Links

If a campaign has no links because it is just an announcement or a non-sale type of email, will the engagement indicator score be penalized? Thanks!

Hi @angelicacamflo,

To second to @mike digital101’s answer, even if your campaign doesn’t have clicks, Klaviyo looks at overall engagement, so you won’t be penalised solely for not including a link, as long as open rates are solid and other negative signals (spam, unsubscribes, bounces) are low.

Having said that, I would still hyperlink text anywhere it is relevant to create a better experience for the customer/recipient. For example, do you have a support page they can be directed to if they have questions? Or FAQs? Anything to create a well-rounded experience (with the added benefit of looking legit to inbox providers).

Great question……….

No, your campaign won’t be penalized just because it has no links.

Klaviyo looks at overall engagement — opens, clicks, and how often people interact with your emails over time. One email without links won’t hurt your score, especially if your audience is opening and reading it.

Just make sure the subject line and content are still engaging.
