How is revenue exactly calculated from an email?

    Hi @Twine,

Good question! While each account is able to customize their attribution settings (how we attribute purchases and revenue to messages), your default attribution settings should be 5 days for email clicks and email opens. Let me explain what that means.

If somebody is sent an email, they have 5 days to open/click that email and then make a purchase from your store, in order for their purchase to be attributed to Klaviyo. So if somebody receives an email, and then 2 days later opens it, and the next day makes a purchase, that purchase is attributed to that email, and the email generated that revenue. We calculate revenue as (Sub-Total + Shipping) - discounts. Our help article here explains message attribution a bit more, and I’d recommend taking a look! Let me know if I can answer any other questions.
