Ability to list or relate email templates to campaign messages via MCP?

I am not a developer or MCP savvy but I put my engineering hat on for you and just did some internal research into this...

Short story is that, yes, you/Claude and ChatGPT are not missing anything here. This is a real limitation of the current MCP tools.

For anyone else stumbling on this read, here’s a bit of a summary on MCP’s can and cannots:

What’s possible via MCP today:

• You can create new HTML email templates and campaigns, and you can preview a given campaign’s content and performance via MCP.
• With that, a dev-style workaround is: read an existing campaign’s HTML via MCP, then use the “create HTML email template” or “create campaign” tools to make a new one that reuses that content (a manual version of “clone”).

What’s not supported today:

• No documented MCP tool to:
  • List all templates in your account
  • Directly edit or clone existing templates
  • Cleanly map “this campaign is based on template X”

So what Claude / ChatGPT are telling you is accurate: full template library management and campaign↔template linking aren’t exposed over MCP right now.

However, as you requested, I’ve shared this thread and your ask internally as a feature request so they can factor it into how they expand the tool set.
