Stopped receiving emails while using subscribe API

Dear Klaviyo Support Team,

I am reaching out to report an issue I have encountered while subscribing to a list via the Subscribe API /api/profile-subscription-bulk-create-jobs/ (v2023-02-22).

Despite receiving an "Accepted" response with a status code of 202 from the API, I have stopped receiving confirmation emails when attempting to subscribe to a list with double opt-in enabled. While the initial attempts were successful and confirmation emails were received.

However, I have noticed that the Subscribe API is functioning correctly when single opt-in is enabled, and both emails and SMS are being successfully subscribed to the lists.

I kindly request that you investigate this issue and provide a resolution as soon as possible.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Best regards,

    Hey @hafiza,

Sorry to hear about your experience!

In addition to the Understanding list bombing Help Center article @Brian Turcotte linked, I would suggest taking a look at some past Community posts that touch upon this subject. I’ve included some below that I know others have found helpful:

Were you trying to add users to a list? If so, I would recommend importing them as a .CSV until our list bombing security protocol has gone through its process.

    Hi @hafiza!

This is likely due to our protocol that prevents list bombing, which may have halted the confirmation emails.

Support will be able to assist you with this, so I am going to get you in touch with them so they can clarify.

    Best,

    Brian
