Email Isn't the Only Channel Your Customer Is Watching

Someone browses your site on mobile, gets an email about the product an hour later, sees an ad for it that evening, and gets a text the next morning about free shipping. To your customer, that's one brand talking to them. To a lot of marketing teams, that's three separate channels that don't talk to each other.

Omnichannel doesn't mean "be everywhere." It means using the same customer data across whichever channels you're already on, email, SMS, push, in-app, so the story stays consistent instead of contradicting itself. If someone just bought a product, they shouldn't see an ad for it the next day. If they clicked a push notification about a sale, the follow-up email shouldn't act like that conversation never happened.

The starting point isn't adding more channels. It's making sure the channels you already have are reading from the same customer profile, instead of running on separate, disconnected logic.

Which two channels feel the most disconnected in your current setup, and what would it take to fix that?
