Apple bounce issues - A & MX record

I recently started having all my emails that went to an apple email address start bouncing, every single one. the reason given inside klaviyo deliverability report was the address was mispelled or does not exist, I reached out to apple and this is what they said:

“The Host name  does not appear to have MX and A records configured in DNS. Please ask your dns administrator to resolve this and normal mail delivery should resume.”

How do I get an A record and an MX record with klaviyo? I cant see it in settings….

thanks

Liz

I got a reply from klaviyo and their solution worked in my case… at least on my own apple email test

“I have reviewed your account and it seems the NS records implemented for the Branded sending domain are not fully propagating at this time in all locations.
This could be due to the DNS not fully supporting the NS records required for the Dynamic setup to fully work in which case we would recommend going for the Static setup that uses CNAME records instead.
For this you will need to remove the NS records from your DNS and remove the Branded sending domain from Klaviyo from Settings> Account. Once done please proceed to complete the setup with the Static option following this guide.”

I am having the exact same problem as this - keen to get some advice on how to fix.

deliverability best practices (branded sending domain, dmarc, spf) are all set up and verified.

My bounce detail report is saying that the reason is due to Content. However there’s nothing suspicious in our content - and none of the other inbox providers have bounced due to content reasons?

    Hi Gemma

I think because I contacted apple, and then went back to klaviyo support with what apple said, it meant they are going to investigate the issue im experiencing  rather than fob me off with links to documents about improving deliverability. Apple are asking for A and MX records but it looks like klaviyo dont provide those directly to input into your DNs settings, ill let you know what klaviyo say, but in the meantime its worth contacting apple. icloudadmin@apple.com

    Hi,

I’m experiencing the same problem, would be great to know if it’s anything I have to do in order to fix it or of it is a Klaviyo-platform problem.

Hi! Following also since I’m having the same issue.
This is the warning message we received:
There has been a significant increase in the number of emails not being delivered to Apple due to a content issue.

I would love to know if there is something we can change to fix this.

Same here, would love to follow to find out if there is a fix to this issue!

Might be related to the iOS 18 rollout? With updated Apple mail?

Just to let you know that I emailed icloudadmin@apple.com as you suggested and they came back within 24 hours saying that the issue had been resolved @Lidgeriz

Just resent to a small number of bounced apple subscribers and so far it all seems OK
