Are we able to pull time zone of a user when an email is sent and an order placed?

We currently get time of purchase in UTC, but not the time zone of the shopper that makes a purchase. Are we able to get the time zone of the user that receives an email + time zone of the user when they make a purchase?

@erggraber adding to this I would say it will be when a user is identified on the website rather than only when a user opens an email.

So if he subscribes prior to buying this will be updated as well.

Hi @erggraber,

Thanks for sharing this question with us.

When a profile makes their first purchase, Klaviyo uses the billing address from the purchase event data to update location and timezone. And only when a user opens an email (rather than receives an email) are we able to set a location and/or timezone. For all scenarios where timezone or location are updated, see our article here.

Thanks for being a community member.
