I cannot select individual lines of text in the text field of a cloned campaign

Can you please elaborate more. If you have any screenshots showcasing your issue, that would help us look into your issue in more detail.

There has been an update in Klaviyo’s text block, you need to double click on the text block to type directly inside the text block. earlier we had to type on the left side (on the dashboard). Is this what you are referring to?
