Price Drop items not entering flow

Hi @bobbob,

Thanks for sharing.

We are going to need more information to go off of to actually understand what might be causing this problem. For example, if you have multiple versions of the same product with different variations, you would need to drop all these products and their variations to the same price in order for them to appear in your Price Drop Report. The values that will affect the report are price and/or special price.

Where price1 is the new price and price0 is the previous price, any of the following metrics would trigger the Price Drop Flow:

• price1 < price0

• special_price1 < special_price0
and if the trigger date falls within the special_price from and to dates

• special_price1 > 0 (where special_price0 was null) & special_price1 < price
and if the trigger date falls within the special_price from and to dates

Please note also that Price Drop is on a product level – for a product to trigger a Price Drop Flow, all variants of the product must drop to the same price and will be sent to any customers who are associated (eg. viewed or started checkout) with any variant of the product.

Another example I can think of is that the price drop report populates information based on the people that have triggered the flow, so it would not work if the flow has not been to live/manual.

Can you further elaborate what you mean by “nothing shows in the flow?” We are going to need some more detail to better understand.

Thanks,

Alex

All the variants have to be the same price?  We use variants though for different pack sizes so they are never the same.

Is there a workaround for this?  What if we update our product catalogue to bring in all of the variants as separate products?

Wondering if you found any way to achieve this? We’re having the same issue. @bobbob
