I was trying to set up a Sign-Up Pop Up that should send the emails (that would sign up) to the Newsletter list. It is not there; I found it in the “Profiles” list. Do you have any idea what I did wrong?

can you check if the list those profiles are going to, is set to “single opt-in” ? I would suggest changing it from double to single opt-in. This happens usually when someone signs up and they dont confirm their subscription (since it is double opt-in) and hence they dont get added to the list.
