We hosted our very first Klaviyo Community Town Hall on October 22, bringing members of our Product team together to walk through recent releases, show what's possible with live demos, and answer questions directly from the Community.
Missed it? No worries. We've got the recording and highlights right here!
Our goal with these Town Halls is to bring you closer to the people building Klaviyo, help you discover capabilities you might not be using yet, and give you practical ideas to take back to your own account.

Composer: From finding revenue opportunities to building campaigns
With Ellen Bechtel, Lead Product Designer, Composer
Composer is now generally available! Ellen gave us a live look at how this AI-powered assistant works directly inside Klaviyo, helping you move from analyzing performance to taking action.
What we saw in the demo:
-
Finding missed revenue opportunities: Ellen asked Composer to uncover potential lost revenue. Composer investigated campaign and flow performance, spotted a decline in revenue despite increased deliveries, and suggested improvements such as excluding unengaged profiles and optimizing retention flows.
-
Turning recommendations into flows: Rather than stopping at suggestions, Ellen asked Composer to draft a retention flow. We watched it create a proposed flow with a trigger, delays, and messaging for review before activation.
-
Creating a product launch campaign: Ellen prompted Composer to draft an email for a new beanie launch using an existing template and bestselling products. She also explored image generation and using brand-approved assets.
-
Working on multiple tasks: Composer could investigate performance while simultaneously working on a creative request, with visibility into what it was doing along the way.
Ellen also previewed upcoming improvements, including expanded integrations, cross-chat memory, proactive monitoring, and mobile access.
Try this in Composer:
Look at my campaign and flow performance over the last 30 days. Where might I be losing revenue, what's causing it, and what should I prioritize fixing?
The takeaway: Composer isn't just for writing emails. It can help you investigate performance, identify opportunities, and turn insights into actions, while keeping you in control of what gets published.
Data & Analytics: Ask better questions, get more useful answers
With Mike Donovan and Mike Yacobian, Data & Analytics
Next, we explored new SQL-powered analytics capabilities that let you ask detailed questions about your Klaviyo data using everyday language, without needing to write SQL yourself.
What we saw in the demo:
-
Analyzing campaign revenue: Mike asked Composer which campaigns drove the most revenue from customers who purchased three or more products in one order. Composer generated and executed an underlying query to return the results.
-
Understanding how answers were calculated: Instead of simply providing an answer, Composer displayed the SQL query and calculations behind its analysis, making the results easier to review and reproduce.
-
Building segments from purchasing patterns: We saw how Composer could analyze product co-purchase behavior to identify customers likely to purchase a particular product next and use those insights to create a segment.
-
Creating custom reports: Mike demonstrated an email performance report comparing the previous month with the same month last year.
-
Scheduling recurring reports: He then showed how to save that analysis as a scheduled task, so the report could run automatically each month without having to repeat the prompt.
-
Working outside Klaviyo: We also saw how these capabilities could be accessed through Klaviyo's MCP server in tools like Claude.
Try this in Composer:
Which email campaigns drove the most revenue from customers who purchased three or more products in a single order? Show me the campaign name, date, and attributed revenue.
The takeaway: You can ask more specific questions about your customers and campaign performance, inspect the underlying analysis, and make those insights easier to act on.
Klaviyo Social: Connect social engagement to real revenue
With Brett Bernstein, Product Lead, Social Marketing
How much revenue is your Instagram strategy actually driving?
That's a question social marketers have been trying to answer for years. Brett walked us through two capabilities designed to make social engagement more measurable and actionable.
What we saw:
-
Social revenue attribution: Brett shared the new Social Performance reporting experience, showing how Klaviyo can connect Instagram activity to customer profiles and help measure revenue associated with social engagement.
-
Social Auto Replies: He explained how brands can automatically respond to Instagram comments or DMs and encourage followers to subscribe to email, SMS, or WhatsApp.
-
The updated Auto Reply builder: We got a look at the simplified setup process, which makes it easier to create and customize automated Instagram DM experiences.
An example you can steal: Invite Instagram followers to DM a keyword like "ACCESS" for an exclusive offer. Klaviyo can automatically respond and guide them through subscribing, helping turn social engagement into an ongoing customer relationship.
Try this: Open the Social tab in Klaviyo and explore creating your first Auto Reply. It's free to get started!
The takeaway: Social can do more than generate likes and comments. With the right setup, it can become a measurable part of your customer acquisition and retention strategy.
Customer Agent: Smarter support across markets, built with Composer
With Kevin Twomey, Product Manager, Customer Agent
If your brand sells internationally, you know that a customer's location can change everything, from available products and pricing to return policies and support experiences.
Kevin showed us how Customer Agent can personalize conversations based on where customers shop, and how Composer makes it easier to configure and improve those experiences.
What we saw in the demo:
-
Training Customer Agent with real support scenarios: Kevin introduced a training experience that turns past support conversations into test cases, helping brands identify where the agent's responses need improvement.
-
Improving responses with Composer: In one example, Customer Agent hadn't fully explained how to resolve a wrong-item delivery. Composer helped draft an improved response and rerun the test to check whether it passed.
-
Market-specific return policies: The demo showed how a shopper in the US could receive a different return policy from a shopper in France, based on their respective markets.
-
Localized product recommendations: Customer Agent demonstrated how it can recommend products from the appropriate regional catalog, including the correct availability, pricing, and currency.
-
Multilingual conversations: We also saw Customer Agent respond in French while maintaining the right market-specific context.
-
Configuring skills by market: Kevin showed how brands can assign different knowledge, workflows, and skills to different markets, including through Shopify Markets.
Try this in Composer:
Test whether my Customer Agent correctly explains our return policy, including any differences between countries. Show me where its responses need improvement.
The takeaway: Customer Agent can provide more than generic answers. It can adapt support and shopping experiences to individual markets, and Composer can help you test and refine how it responds.
