Yeah, we actually have a lot of customers taking advantage of the season to run summer giveaways on Instagram (our app helps them turn their Instagram followers into email subscribers).And to help convert all of those new email subscribers, they’ve had good results testing discounts in the welcome email, especially when using tags to target communications. When Instagram followers opt-in to their email list, we automatically capture location, gender, full name and Instagram as the source. This allows a more personalized email since those tags sync to Klaviyo for targeting.Even the brands with smaller Instagram accounts (under 3,000 followers) generate ~$5,000 in email sales on average solely from running a giveaway a month, especially through the summer. Hi Gabrielle.Does your app/ software work with stores not hosted on Shopify? Or is it Shopify only?Sorry, for now it’s only for Shopify. We will expand beyond Shopify, but likely not until next year since there’s a lot we want to get right first with a more focused cohort.

Or is POPSMASH exclusively focused on social media?Nope, we exclusively focus on social media (Instagram) since growing email subscribers from social is a newer trend and underutilized by most brands, especially as ROAS has fallen in the last couple years.For on site there are a lot of pop-up products that can do this. For example, if you’re on Shopify there’s Privy and other pop-up apps.One of my clients has several existing influencer/ brand partnership relationships. Maybe it’s worth doing an IG giveaway to grow email optins that aren’t dependent on site traffic?Yeah, it’s worth trying since if it works it could be a game changer for them if they drive a lot of revenue through email.The main thing to keep in mind is that because of how the IG collabs feature works, the account IG account connected in the app (in Shopify) must create the post and tag others as collabora

Webhooks for Custom integrations

For our use case, we provide merchants with targeted signup forms then send the leads to Klaviyo. Feature request: Add optin_process field to List object, and allow it to be mutated

Thanks for the suggestion, @Mineral-CR! Our app doesn’t create Lists though, it selects existing Lists and we can’t see what the opt-in process is via the API.
