Hi there -

My sign up form is suddenly getting this error “An error occurred when submitting. Please try again later.”. All integrations look to be okay, as well as all sign up form settings. Grateful for any advice!

    Hi @Izzieragecreative @dmarksboose

Can you also confirm that you have a list associated with the sign-up form? If it is left blank, it can cause this error message. To check:

    • Edit the form
    • Click on Submit button
    • Choose a list where the subscribers should be submitted
    • Publish the changes and test the form again

    Hi,
Could you try checking if any ad blockers are enabled since they might interfere with Klaviyo form functionality.
Try further clear your browser cache and cookies to see if that helps.
Also check the form settings to make sure it’s set to display on both Desktop and Mobile usage under Behaviors

    Hi Fario -

Checked for ad blockers and cleared my cache and cookies. Klaviyo is showing the sign up form should be visible on both desktops and laptops.

Mine’s doing the exact same thing for a client; the emails are actually being submitted, but not signed up to email marketing. The message reads ‘An error occurred when submitting. Please try again later.’ and I’ve done everything instructed on various forums but to no avail.

My potential customers are also experiencing this issue.  It started months ago after working fine for months, then I fixed it based on all the different responses in the forums, and now when attempting to submit the form, they are once again receiving the error issue.

Is this a Klaviyo issue?  I don’t understand how it works periodically and then doesn’t.  I use the form as a lead magnet for my potential customers and missing out on sales is becoming quite frustrating.

    Please help.

    Thank you,
    Lindsay

For those of you still struggling…I found an easy workaround

    1. Use Poptin Forms for free
    2. Create a private API key in Klaviyo for Poptin
    3. Integrate Klaviyo to your form (find form ID in Klaviyo)
    4. Create form and done - if you submit the form with your email often as a “test”, Klaviyo eventually blocks it, so you might want to work with Poptin’s chat support to ensure it is connected and working

It works and hopefully won’t error out randomly like Klaviyo’s forms are.  Hope this helps!  Keep growing your business :)

We are also experiencing this same error but on a landing page instead of a sign-up unit.
