We’re considering using Opensend to increase our list growth. We did a free trial but it immediately hurt our deliverability. Is there a way to buffer the impact on deliverability with Opensend? Would sending campaigns more often help?

Notes:

-We tried adjusting the Opensend parameters (to only send to people who engaged with our website for 2+ minutes)

-We only send 2 campaigns per week at the moment

-Our deliverability was 75 and dropped to 60 in a week after trying Opensend

Hi @CSmith

We use OpenSend on and off throughout the year, primarily during Q3 and Q4. While we did notice a slight dip in deliverability, it wasn’t an immediate drop.

Are you adding OpenSend profiles directly into your campaign sends, or routing them through a dedicated welcome flow first? We've found it helpful to warm them up before including them in broader sends.

We were also careful to suppress any OpenSend profiles that didn’t engage after a set period to minimize risk to deliverability.

Also curious, are the two campaigns you’re sending each week going to your full list or just to a highly engaged segment?

Thanks,

Rachel
