I am trying to segment viewed but not ordered (brows abandonment) but for some reason when I choose the ‘viewed product’ (api) in the filtering on Klaviyo, I am not getting any data. and when I look at the metrics it doesnt look like i am receiving any data on the ‘viewed product’ (api) option. could you please help?

Hi @Alumafashion, welcome to the community!

Can you tell us which platform you are on?  I’m going to assume Shopify, as it’s the most common platform.  If you are using Shopify, did you enable the App Embed in Shopify?

    You can see instructions here:

If you’re on any other platforms, there are specific instructions here:

Once you have done that, you should get “Viewed Product” tracking to work.  If you have a custom built Theme or for some reason can use the App Embed, you can also install the “Viewed Product” tracking manually.

As for historical events, I don’t believe this particular event can be backfilled because it requires the user action to send the event. Prior to the integration, since nothing was tracking it, there is no data that it can backfill from.  So if you get it working, it will work only for the data moving forward.
