How do I send an AUTO-email for an OUT OF STOCK VARIANT

Hi guys, need some help with something pretty basic.

I need to send an AUTO-EMAIL when someone PLACES AN ORDER for a specific VARIANT (i.e. color) that is OUT OF STOCK.

I want to send them an email right after their order stating that we’re getting RESTOCKED in that particular color.

Again, it’s pretty basic but can’t figure out how to do this.

Any idea?

Thanks Stephanie, but I need a way to send it out when customers purchase specific VARIANTS in one PRODUCT that became out of stock.

For example, if the customer order Blue from a T-Shirt, I want that message to be sent. But if they order Green, they will not get the message.

Does that make sense? Thanks!
