Hi everyone,

I’m in the process of migrating from an old Welcome Series flow to a new one. The trigger list will stay the same for both flows (the same list), but I want:

  • Contacts who are already in the old flow to finish it,
  • New subscribers to go into the new Welcome Series flow.

My idea is to use a trigger filter like:
“Person can receive email marketing” because “Person is in list because they subscribed” because “Subscribe date is after XX.XX.2025”

I’d also apply a similar filter to the old/live flow, but with the subscribe date is before XX.XX.2025 condition.

Would this setup work as intended? Or is there a better way to migrate form one to another without disrupting users already in the old one and preventing new subscribers to enter the old one (without creating a new list)?

Thanks in advance!

What we usually do is turn on new flow, and on the old flow just add a conditional split before the first email right after the trigger of the flow where the split is simply “Properties about someone - Email - Contain - @” and since all emails contain @ make sure that all the emails in the flow are on the NO path and Yes path is just finishing immediately. This way all new people that enter old flow will end it immediately and the ones that are already past this split (meaning they already in the flow) will be able to finish it.
