Smart Sending for Welcome Flow

Question

When new subscribers get added to our ‘newsletter subscriber’ list they enter a worflow that nutures them with a series of emails. However we send weekly newsletters to all our subscribers so that includes the ‘newsletter subscriber’ list. My worry is that someone gets added the ‘newsletter subscriber’ list and recieves their first nuture email but then on the same or next day they recieve my weekly newsletter. How can I stop those JUST in the welcome flow from reciving weekly newsletters during the time in the nurture flow.

Hi ​@martha098You can add an exclusion trigger to your welcome flow. Let’s say your welcome sequence includes 3 emails. You can add a profile filter as following:what someone has or has not done > received email> where: flow > equals: [ name of your flow ] > is at least: [ number of your welcome emails ] > since starting this flow.along with the other filters:Placed order zero times in the last 30 daysPlaced order zero times since starting this flowI hope this helps.

Thank you, would that stop them recieving the flow emails though? I have been reading more and would ticking Smart Sending on my weekly newsletters help stop anyone who has just recieved an email from a flow from getting too many emails?
