SMS disclosure wizard fails every time — "There was a problem creating your text message disclosure"

Question

Hi all — hitting a wall with the SMS disclosure setup wizard. Every attempt dies at the final submit on the "Create text message disclosure" page with: "There was a problem creating your text message disclosure."

Tried 5 times across Sept 25–26. Details:

- Company: Marty's Threads, support email martysthreads23@outlook.com

- Promotional messages checked

- Privacy policy URL: https://martys-threads.shop/policies/privacy-policy (verified live — also tried the pre-filled myshopify URL, same error)

- SMS acknowledgment checked, ToS "generate for me," mobile terms "host for me" with legal acknowledgment checked

This blocks us from finishing SMS disclosure, which blocks the SMS Disclosures block on our signup landing page — so we can't grow our SMS list.

Anyone run into this? Is there a workaround, or does this need Klaviyo to fix it on the backend? (We're on the free plan, so no ticket channel.)

I checked the privacy policy link you provided, and it is live, but it appears to be a standard Shopify policy without the SMS-specific information Klaviyo requires, such as how phone numbers and location data are used and what types of messages you’ll send.Please update the policy with those SMS details, then retry the disclosure setup using the live URL. Also confirm that your Terms of Service and mobile terms are separate, published, and accessible. If the error continues after those updates, please let me know, and we can move forward from there.Temi@Klaviyo
