I have created a popup form for my website that will capture emails for coming soon products.

I have set up everything on the back end including a multicheckbox field giving explicit consent, and mapped the property to $conset with value email when ticked.

I have the form set to subcribe to my list “coming soon notify”, and the list has single opt-in.

Yet when I test it on the front end, it only captures the data as a profile, that has status “never subscribed”.

Could you please help me with what it may be happening please? I am going in circles for days now, and we don’t know what it could be happening.

Hiya!

Hoping this is helpful, I would try testing with a real email address that hasn’t been subscribed before? Klaviyo might not re-subscribe suppressed emails or there could be an address validation issue?

It might also be worth checking the Activity Feed on a test profile. If you see “Filled Out Form” but not “Subscribed to List,” then the issue either has something to do with the consent mapping, list connection, or suppression.

Let me know how you go!
Warmest,
Hilary

Hi, thanks for the quick response. I tried with a legit email addres that has not been used before for this account. I still don’t have the user subscribed, in fact the $consent property is not showing in their profile even though it has been marked on the form. the profile activity does not show me “filled out form either”.

Do you know what it could be?

Interesting!

You can try mapping the checkbox to the “Accepts Marketing” (=true) profile property instead, however, it’s worth testing thoroughly and making sure this doesn’t have any flow on concerns around channel specific consent, as well as checking GDPR compliance because the field behaves differently to $consent.

Let me know how you go 💪🏻

Unfortunately this also did not solve my issue, it is very frustrating. Is there any other way I could fix this issue that you may know? thank you in advance

This is a tricky one!

I would test generally the function of your pop ups to see if there is something else going on.
Create a fresh pop up from scratch with just:

  • Email field

  • Submit button

  • List connection (no checkbox, no custom properties)

Then:

  • Test with a fresh email

  • See if the email gets subscribed to the list email

If this works then it’s definitely related to how the check box is configured! Perhaps removing the required input from the checkbox and testing again might help? I would also submit a support request as they can look at your account directly.

Apologies I can’t be more help, really hope you get it solved!

Best,
Hils

Hi @pagi clothing !

Since this sign up form is collecting email subscribers, you will not need a hidden consent field in order for these profiles to be subscribed to the list. It is possible that these profiles are being flagged by our list bombing protections - can you confirm which email addresses you are testing with? Additionally, if you would like to turn this form back to live, I am happy to submit a test on my end. I would just need a link to where I can find this form on your site!
