Hi

Need some clarity on a specific use case related to transactional emails:

When Klaviyo marks an email as transactional, will that particular email be sent via different IP pool or the same IP pool.

I assume, transactional gateway is different. Correct me if I’m wrong?

Also, let’s say, if Klaviyo’s shared IP pool is blacklisted, will the transactional emails be affected? Or how delivery is managed for transactional emails messaging type?

Thanks in advance.

Regards

Hey @inboxingmaestro,

Great question!

Emails marked as transactional will be sent out via a different shared IP pool designated for transactional sends.

Klaviyo continually monitors the placement of its IPs on a large number of blocklists. We’ll also regularly have these IPs de-list as well. In our experience, most blocklists do not have a wide impact on an account’s deliverability since they are so infrequent. Even less so with our transactional pool since it’s much more closely monitored.

I hope this helps!
