Unverified sender

Hi,

I have just set up an abandoned cart flow and have done a test by setting it live pre brand launch. The sender is coming through as unverified. We are a new brand and have never used another provider before.

Thanks

Eloise

Hi @mrsippy - Since you are a new brand and have never used Klaviyo before, it’s likely that you haven’t completed the domain authentication process. Here is the Klaviyo documentation you can follow for this https://help.klaviyo.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000357752

Also here’s quick step by step of what to do:

    1. Verify Your Sending Domain in Klaviyo:

      • Go to Account > Settings > Domains in Klaviyo.

      • Click “Add Sending Domain”.

      • Enter the domain you want your emails to come from (e.g., hello@yourbrand.com).

    2. Add DNS Records to Your Domain Host:

      • Klaviyo will give you 3–5 DNS records (SPF, DKIM, DMARC).

      • Copy these and add them to your domain registrar (e.g., GoDaddy, Shopify, Google Domains).

      • This process tells inbox providers that you’re authorized to send emails from your domain.

    3. Wait for Verification:

      • DNS propagation can take up to 24–48 hours.

      • Once verified, your emails will no longer show as “unverified.”

    Tips:

    • Use a Branded Sending Email Address like hello@yourbrand.com instead of Gmail or Yahoo. This helps with both deliverability and trust.

    • Check Klaviyo’s Deliverability Center for any alerts or failed records.
