Why can't we use segments as a profile trigger in a flow?

Hi there, we’re trying to add a segment to some flows but it never shows - Claude says Klaviyo doesn’t allow segments in the Profile filters section.

Why?

Use case for Klaviyo: bots are starting checkouts with fake details, creating fake profiles and triggering our abandoned checkout flow. They caused 63 of our 90 bounced emails in the last two weeks.

A single "Bots" segment could be our one source of truth across Klaviyo: update it once, and every flow and campaign follows.

Instead, we either edit the filters in every flow by hand, or run an extra flow just to copy segment members onto a profile property we can filter on. Does anyone have time for that?

Or is there a simpler way of excluding bots from flows/campaigns?
